Our Mission

At the Laurels, we care for men from the age of 65 and women from 60 years old.

We accommodate 27 permanent residents with diverse needs. Great care is taken when admitting new clients. This is to ensure the existing residents remain comfortable and that new residents feel welcome and comfortable and to maintain the happy atmosphere within the home. The Laurels, is the residents home and all routines and legal requirements are carried out with the minimum of fuss so as not to encroach on residents daily lives. A full workforce is employed to ensure more than adequate staff are in attendance, to cater to all needs and to provide plenty of quality time with each individual, adhering to their specific requirements.

Our aim is to support residents in their preferred day to day way of life. We encourage independence, administering support and assistance where needed. All aspects of resident's rights are upheld.

It is our mission to ensure all residents enjoy happy fulfilled lives. We take a positive approach to individual's capabilities. Residents are invited to assist with the interviewing of Staff and Residents; to have a say in who cares for them. This has proved very successful.

We assist fully in the enrolment of outside services and professional practitioners as required.

Moving and handling equipment is available for those with restricted mobility. All staff are trained in the use of such equipment and all machinery is maintained to a high standard. It is our aim and objective to maintain the high standard of care that we are known for.
